The Gothic entrance pillared hall with a vault is the largest preserved secular space of the high Gothic style in Bohemia. The Mazhaus is located on the ground floor of the southern wing of the town hall. Press conferences, seminars, coffee breaks, banquets, etc. are held there.
The floor is made of sandstone, the ceiling is arched, and remnants of paintings are preserved on the walls. There are two columns in the middle of the room. The Mazhaus is lit by wall halogen lamps. The entrance to the tower is in the eastern wall, on the north side there is a stairway leading into the basement. It is accessed from the courtyard or from Charles Square.
Visitors can use a cloakroom on the ground floor with a capacity of 270 people.
