The Great Hall is the largest room in the New Town Hall. It is located on the 1st floor of the eastern wing of the town hall; concerts, conferences, gala dinners, banquets and other cultural events take place there.
The floor is wooden, polished. There are four large windows on the south wall (they can be darkened). There are remnants of wall paintings there dating from the 16th century. On the eastern wall there is access to the adjacent chapel and the tower. There are three columns in the middle of the hall. Due to the historical character of the Great Hall, it is not possible to put anything on the walls. The Hall is lit by halogen bulbs in the ceiling + 4 halogens on the west side (on the stage). Conferences need to be lit with additional lights. The Hall is heated by underfloor heating. The Hall can be accessed via the main staircase from the entrance or via the side spiral staircase.
The vestibule has a granite polished floor. Visitors can use a cloakroom on the ground floor with a capacity of 270 people.
